Parachute Skirt & Peace Silk Corset.

This glamorous outfit is comprised of a skirt was made from a decommissioned parachute that could no longer be safely used but had , instead it forms part of this sustainable outfit. It has magnetic closures so it will to easily close amongst all those ruffles and comes apart without damaging the delicate fabric.

The corset is made from metallic boning, and peace silk. Peace silk is where the silk worms have been allowed to burst from their cocoons as a silk moth before the cocoon is boiled.

Silk worms are usually boiled inside their cocoons, to obtain the smoothest continuous fibre. this means the fabric can have a different aesthetic that is beautiful and allows the next generation of silk moths to live.
